Ever wish you could cook like a Calgary chef? Well, now you can with the help of Chef Local. With this new service, you can order a special Calgary restaurant meal kit for pickup and make the dishes yourself at home while the chef takes you through the steps over video. It’s a great way to support a local restaurant from afar while learning from some of the city’s best culinary talent.

There are currently two meal experiences you can order: Jane Bond BBQ’s chef Jenny B offers a crawfish feast for two ($99) complete with cornbread, chorizo sausage, dirty rice, southern slaw and crawdaddy butter, while Market‘s chef Evan Robertson offers a smoked boconccini Caprese salad and pan-roasted duck breast ($109) that also serves two. A third meal kit option with Deane House is also in the works.

If you want to take the experience even further, you can also add cocktail pairing kits to your order for an extra charge. Jane Bond’s drink pairing is a southern style sweet tea cocktail, while Market’s is a black lemonade cocktail.
