On September 26, local makers, artisans, business owners and producers congregated at Calgary’s Central Library to celebrate the winners and runners-up of the 2023 Made in Alberta Awards.

Attendees had the chance to mingle, network and congratulate the winners and runners-up over refreshments before and after the ceremony. Emcee Bindu Suri from Global News guided attendees through the ceremony as the 10 award categories, along with the Reader’s Choice Award and Overall Winner Award, were presented for 2023. This year’s winning products included delicious ghee made in Calgary, a wildflower wine made in Millarville and a soap set made in Edmonton. Visit madeinalbertaawards.ca for a full list of the winners and runners-up in every category.

Be sure to check out the Made in Alberta Market on November 22 and 23 at Bow Valley Square. Entries for the 2024 Made in Alberta Awards are also open now.

Thank you to the Alberta Food Processors Association, Calgary Economic Development’s Trade Accelerator Program, Oxford Properties, Global News and Wild Rose Brewery for sponsoring the 2023 Made in Alberta Awards ceremony.
