A brand new name in sports retail has opened its doors in Calgary. Team Town Sports, a fresh-faced retail store under the Sporting Life Group banner (which already operates stores like Golf Town and Sporting Life across Canada), is focused on equipment for team sports like soccer, basketball, hockey, ringette and curling.
The Calgary stores are the first-ever locations for Team Town Sports (though the brand plans to bring its expertise across Canada in a 25-store expansion), so Calgarians are the first to experience this new sports retail brand. There’s an approximately 26,000-square-foot store at CF Market Mall and an approximately 34,000-square-foot store in Heritage Towne Centre. Both locations carry an extensive collection of equipment and feature a “Kids’ Kingdom” that caters towards the youth market. Team Town Sports features amenities like sports equipment service centres and simulators for testing out equipment before you buy, like with the digital indoor baseball simulator.
